If one studies the concept of wealth and human well being there are several things that can be considered. One measure of well being is the Human Happiness Index, a hypothetical measure. People are happy when they can obtain worthwhile employment. People are happy when they are debt free. People are happy when they don't have to work two jobs to get by. People are happy when they feel safe in their homes. People feel happy when they are physically healthy and have good life expectancy. People are happy when education is not expensive. People are happy when they own their own home outright with no debt. People are happy when there is a well managed safety net for social security and elder care. People are happy when they trust their government and laws are fair. People are happy when they are free to make life choices. Happiness is further multiplied when people acquire wealth. Wealth gives people a feeling of security plus a host of expanded daily and weekly life options. Further it grants the ability to help others in need. What if the "bell curve" could be skewed so far that everyone in a country were actually wealthy.

One measure of wealth at the national level is Gross Domestic Product per person or GDP per Capita. Since obtaining this information is more difficult than it might seem for all countries, the lists that have been compiled have slightly different parameters and do vary. However, they are usually fairly consistent and number one on this list is number two on that list, etc.

In studying the GDP lists, several things jump out at you. First, the top 12 countries as regards GDP per Capita are almost always small in size and small in population. The second thing is they have good access to a money source such as oil, minerals or banking prowess. Another thing is that high GDP per Capita leads to a high ranking on the Human Happiness scale. So, which country is Number One. The industrialized larger countries are not the highest but have solid positions in the top third.

Liechtenstein is a small country of only 61.7 square miles tucked away between Switzerland and Austria in the Alps. It is the 6th smallest country in the world. It has a population of only 37,000 persons. Mathematically speaking, it is considered the wealthiest country in the world. The unemployment rate is 1.5%. The prison system is so minimalist as to defy description to Americans. It has no international airport (use Zurich). It has no national military per se but does have a national police force of 78 persons. Despite its small order-keeping expenditures, it has an extremely low crime rate. What is its money source? It is an international banking haven and because of its low taxation on corporations, many European companies are domiciled there. The Prince who rules the country is reportedly one of the wealthiest men in Europe.

Norway is a Scandinavian country that borders Sweden. It is not a small country but because it is mountainous, it has a fairly low percentage of arable land. The population of Norway is 5.3 million. The country has always been oriented to the sea and trade. Norway maintains a market economy and uses a Nordic welfare model that includes universal health care and a comprehensive social security system. Norway was lucky in that it has rights to a large part of the lucrative North Sea oil field. Norway thus has extensive reserves of petroleum and natural gas, even though much of its power needs as a nation are met by hydropower. In fact, the petroleum industry accounts for around a quarter of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) and on a per-capita basis, Norway is the world's largest producer of oil and natural gas outside the Middle East. The country has the fourth-highest per capita income in the world on the World Bank and IMF lists On the CIA's GDP (PPP) per capita list (2015 estimate), Norway ranks as Number 11. It has excellent national leadership and when the oil wealth started to come in, it set of its own national sovereign wealth fund. Today, this is the world's largest sovereign wealth fund, with a value of over USD 1 trillion. This means Norway has no national debt and does not need to borrow money from a central bank to run the country. Norway has had the highest Human Development Index ranking in the world since 2009, a position also held previously between 2001 and 2006. It also ranks first on the World Happiness Report

According to wikipedia, the World Happiness Report is a measure of happiness published by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network. In July 2011, the UN General Assembly resolution 65/309 Happiness: Towards a Holistic Definition of Development inviting member countries to measure the happiness of their people and to use the data to help guide public policy. On April 2, 2012, this was followed by the first UN High Level Meeting called Wellbeing and Happiness: Defining a New Economic Paradigm, which was chaired by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Prime Minister Jigme Thinley of Bhutan, a nation that adopted gross national happiness instead of gross domestic product (GDP) as their main development indicator. The first World Happiness Report was released on April 1, 2012 as a foundational text for the UN High Level Meeting: Well-being and Happiness: Defining a New Economic Paradigm, drawing international attention. The report outlined the state of world happiness, causes of happiness and misery, and policy implications highlighted by case studies. In 2013, the second World Happiness Report was issued, and since then has been issued on an annual basis with the exception of 2014. The report primarily uses data from the Gallup World Poll. Each annual report is available to the public to download on the World Happiness Report website.

While the Happiness list is heavily biased to Europe, apparently due to the success of the so-called northern social democracies, not all European countries rank highly. Greece for instance is ranked 99.

Does wealth make you happy. Qatar is a small Persian Gulf country next to Saudi Arabia. It rivals Liechtenstein for the Number 1 spot on the GDP per Capita list. It has very high levels of oil and gas reserves for such a small country. Lots of wealth in the ground and relatively low population. It is ranked 38th however in the World Happiness Report. Rather low for such a wealthy country. Why?

So why is Zimbabwe part of this topic. Let's compare it with our other three selected countries and then the USA too for comparison. So GDP per Capita has Liechtenstein Number 1, Qatar is Number 2, Norway Number 13, U. S.A. Number 19 and poor Zimbabwe is Number 170. And since Zimbabwe now enters the discussion, why is a mineral rich country like Zimbabwe so low on the wealth list.

Based on its proven gold, platinum, rhodium, lithium, rare earths and other mineral reserves, Zimbabwe is the wealthiest nation in the world per capita based on in-the-ground mineral wealth. The question is why is it not in the top ten, or top twenty, or top 100 or top 150. Why? Why? Why? Part of the answer lies in the neo-colonial period where the "advanced" countries insinuated a patronage model to the second and third world. It's called extraction dominance. So we must ask ourselves: who actually controls the extraction process. In the distant past it did not matter if you had mineral wealth if you could not successfully extract it. (Well, here then, let me "help" you with that. We will help you extract it, but we want our cut. You in fact need large loans). Dig a little deeper and you will learn that the R & R cabal and sovereign wealth network of Europe and, after WWI their proxy war golem, the U.S.A. have a stranglehold control over most of the EXTRACTION of mineral wealth on the planet. Wealth and control.

And where is Zimbabwe it ranked in terms of the Human Happiness Report? Zimbabwe is ranked 138th. Why? Why is the world's wealthiest country ranked so low? If you can figure this out then you will know why the GCR is needed and why all things in this world need to be re-balanced. And also why it should happen now. We are actually at a global tipping point. The old model has failed for 6.5 of 7.5 billion humans. A new model is needed. It's rather obvious to the eye of Justice. The further question then is who will lead the world forward to a better day. Who can turn the rudder of this massive ship. We have learned on this very site that something major has been planned and implemented for years. Slowly, carefully, steadily. It has been implied that there is off-planet support. Seven billion people are oblivious to the battle fought now on their behalf. All most people know is that life on earth, while taking us to the very heights of joy, is also fraught with struggle, drudgery, danger, episodic brutality, civil unrest, episodic warfare and blatant injustice. If you believe in your heart of hearts that change is possible, that we are not locked into a system such as we have wept over time and again, and that the world can be remade in a manner pleasing to God, then visualize the world as it can be and look to the leaders that can make it happen. And when the GCR happens and you become a leader yourself, do your very best to mold and shape a new dawn for this planet.
