I'm a "wasteland wanderer," (according to Zap) and boy do I have battle scars that could make pretzels of your "paths of twists and turns." Zap talked about doing good things and being able to leave the front porch open . . . What is that? . . . What is it like to have a "front porch?"
I've done the "good things," (the kind Zap talked about) but I still don't have a front porch! I lost "my front porch" in 2005 and I've been in and out of homelessness ever since, (even while having family). And for the record, NONE of them wanted to take me and my Son in, no not one!
Ohhhh, and we've, (my Son and I) have been serving on this mission field for 8 years! All they, (my family) can think of is the fact that I've been gone for 8 years sacrificing my life for "Others!" I've worked multiple jobs just so I could care for him and others!
WELL ISN'T THAT WHAT JESUS DID? Didn't He lay down His life for us? What's wrong with us laying down our life for another? All I've EVER heard from ZAP is a true example of Jesus!!!!
With all that I've done; 11 years unemployed caring for my Son with Cerebral Palsy was just a launching pad! My Son taught me to be patient, kind, self-controlled and how to love unconditionally!
It wasn't a coincidence that God would save my Son's life and call me to lay down my life, pick up my cross and follow Him! I didn't think twice when He called me to the mission field! Ohhh, and get this . . . I lost a $250,000 home! I willingly walked away because NOTHING means more than SERVICE! So when people like me ask for help, it's not because we want to . . . it's because we HAVE to ask BECAUSE WE WOULD MUCH RATHER SERVE!!!!
Patrick has been posting my inquiries, updates, prayer requests and testimonies, (AND CONTRIBUTING with some very LOVING PEOPLE). For the record, Patrice is a God-sent Angel!!! Overall, the response has been incredibly Christ-like because I would NOT be here without JESUS and my IDC Family! . . . I'm certain!
I shared, "Here I go again," because I'm back asking for help again. ZAP talked about Thursday, but I don't have income to last until Thursday. It's one thing to sleep outside in the South where it's warm. However, I'm back in the North because I was notified my Mom was terminal. And NOTHING but the grace of God put me in a hotel for people caring for loved ones with Cancer. Only His grace afforded me a room with heat and electricity, washer and dryer, free snacks and donated food (occasionally) with loving volunteers when I needed Christ the most!
And wait . . . Only to learn that the 8 years on the mission field was a training camp of worship and service to the Lord. In fact, my last assignment was to a Pastor with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. You can't tell me that God does not equip the called!
While Satan himself is always lurking and waiting to pounce all over me; he took my house, my car, my children, everything I owned! While He slay me, yet will I serve God!
All I ask is help to stay here at $40/day (plus tax) while God delivers us into our currency exchange appointment. Please! I always spend my income, (every dime) on housing, food and storage before I ask for help. Please help us stay here so I can be available to my Mom! I'll be the first to buy a home, with a porch (and take my Mom with me if God permits). But until then, I need my IDC family to lay down their life for us, because "Blessed is the man who would lay down their life for another!"
